What's the solution to boilers, water cylinders and the detritus of plumbing to which you need access but which you don't want to see? In this instance the solution was a wenge desktop and ash cladding with lift out panels for ease of access.
The moulding along the front edge of the desktop was to the clients specification, simple and tasteful. All the timber was machined up on site, the ash was taken from an old floor, the boards were sanded and a bead run down one edge using a router.
The edges of the ash cladding were finished with a border of ropala lacewood.
Boxing in around a toilet cistern can be straight forward and a little dull, but in this instance it was made into a feature by creating shelved alcoves on either side.
Floating shelves, practical and strong, with no visible means of support.
Oak bookshelves built to the customers specifications.
