An all timber building is still relatively unusual in the UK and is often frowned upon by planners who seem to think that such structures will be out of place. I believe that this project proves the lie of that argument. I ran this site from breaking ground in late September 2009 through to completion at the beginning of April 2010.
The secret to running a site successfully is communication and co-ordination. The different trades involved will always want precedence and often fail to see the bigger picture, being more interested in the completion of their segment of the project than in the project overall. The key is to slot all of these elements together ensuring that they work with and not against each other and of course there are other things to contend with which are beyond your control, such as the weather.
